Braulio Batista Jr., a first generation American born to Portuguese immigrant parents, was raised in Newark, New Jersey. Braulio attended Kean University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management Science then later completed a Masters Degree in Fine Arts Education. Currently Braulio teaches Drawing & Painting at Elizabeth high school as well as outreach programs at the Greater Newark Charter School for seventh and eighth grade students. Braulio also teaches various classes at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit.
